Job Description

This Independent Cambridge School is looking to recruit two teachers of PE & Games from September 2008, to teach PE and coach ether girls or boys team sports.
The School traces its roots to the Seventeenth Century, and it currents roll number is 460 for boys and girls aged 4-13. The school is located in one of the most attractive parts of Cambridge and also has both locally and nationally, a very high reputation.
The school is deeply committed to the ‘non-examined’ subjects of Art, Drama, Music, DT, ICT and Sport, all of which are specialist taught, and through many extra-curricular activities the children are encouraged to develop their skills and enthusiasm.
The main sports are rugby, hockey, cricket, netball and rounders, in which the school enjoys very strong results, as it does in athletics, swimming, rowing and a range of other sports. Overall responsibility for a particular team sport may be given to a suitably experienced candidate.
The post may focus wholly on PE/Games but applications offering PE/Games in combination with other subjects and/or in combination with boarding house duties will also be welcomed, as will applications for a substantial part-time post. The post may also be offered as a resident role, if required by the successful candidate.
